—Thomas Wayne's last words.

Thomas Wayne (1942 - 1981) was a philanthropist and the former chairman of Wayne Enterprises whose death left his son Bruce the sole heir to the Wayne Family fortune.

Early YearsEdit

Thomas was born to Benjamin Wayne and his wife Laura. After coming of age and inheriting the family fortune, he met and married a Martha Kane, with whom he fathered a son named Bruce.

The MurderEdit

In 1981, the Waynes were leaving the Aragon Theatre after attending a viewing of The Mark of Zorro when they were held at gunpoint by a mugger who shot both Thomas and Martha before fleeing.

Thomas and Martha were later buried in the family mausoleum. Their butler Alfred dismissed the rest of the staff and became Bruce's legal guardian.

The LegacyEdit
